The Burley Manor Hotel is the jewel in the crown of the New Forest. Located in the picturesque village of Burley, in the New Forest. Parts of the estate were probably laid out in Saxon times and must have existed before the Doomsday Book was compiled in 1086. Later, for nearly 200 years, Burley was a Royal Manor. During World War Two, the hotel was requisitioned and used as a military headquarters by Lord Montgomery and his chiefs of staff.
